it would seem that a degradation in the NAT type state has been taking place with myself and my regular friends. For the longest time I had a NAT Type Open and this degraded to Moderate and then Strict. I recently managed to cable my Xbox One directly into my AT&T Fiber Pace residential gateway and placed it in the DMZ (using DMZplus mode).
My friends, though, seem to be experiencing the same issue and this is causing problems in the chat party as well as in gaming connectivity. And as of last night someone noticed that while their Xbox One network state reported a NAT Type of Open, in the game (COD MW Remastered) it reported Moderate.
I always thought the state of NAT Type in the game was ubiquitous with that of your console on XBL, but now I an wondering if it is a weighted in-game and takes into account others in the party or game lobby as an overall contribution state.
Anyone else experience this degradation in NAT Type, both on the console network level and in game?
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
